Ray was trained at RHS Wisley Gardens and has been teaching a wide range of horticultural subjects for the last two decades. Awarded a Fellowship by the Institute of Horticulture for his service to Horticulture and is currently a Senior Lecturer at Sparsholt College.

Cherrill Sands - "Medieval, Georgian and Public Parks".
In the Medieval period, parks were enclosed areas for hunting and entertaining. By the 18th century the desire was for an idyllic Arcadian landscape with scenes creating different moods. Public Parks, begun in Victorian times, they were created for the urban poor. During the 1980s there was a decline but are now being reclaimed as popular public spaces.

Guest speaker for this evening will be Mr Tony Forward - "My Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen".
Tony Forward has been a professional Toastmaster and MC since 1987. He has vast experience both here and abroad and is regarded as an expert in etiquette and protocol on the banqueting scene. He has officiated at Buckingham Palace to Masonic Ladies' Nights. I have heard him speak and it was a most enjoyable and entertaining evening.
